Description

Water flask in African Terra Sigillata from the Roman villa of Tolegassos (Viladamat, Alt Empordà), dating to the second century AD. The body of the canteen, which was made of two pieces shaped in a mould and joined together, to which the neck and handles were added, has a very flattened lenticular cross-section. It displays a simple decoration, consisting of two concentric circles or shallow grooves.
