Pair of earrings in the shape of a female head with brooches turned on a lathe. They came from Pollentia (Alcúdia, Mallorca) and dated from the 1st century AD. They are made from gold sheets. The heads are made with the mold technique, and the clasps with laminated thread. As for the dimensions they are 2.5 and 1.5 cm, a max diameter 05-min-0.2 and a weight of 8.3 g.
These types of heads did not have a portrait purpose, since they did not have distinctive features. Despite being peculiar motifs, they were not as widespread as the necklaces of the same period. Damià Mateu Collection.
