Unifacial pointed utensil, identified as the "Pico de Montgrí"-type in traditional literature. It is made on a pebble from the River Ter that was fractured with a hammer stone to generate a pointed cutting edge in the distal part. It was unearthed during the excavations at Cau del Duc in Torroella by Matías Pallarès and Lluís Pericot in 1922. Initially attributed to the Mesolithic, further studies corrected the assignment by dating the bulk of the remains in the time of the transition between the lower and middle Palaeolithic (Mousterian).
