Description
Emblem and part of a large polychrome mosaic decorated with geometric motifs. The emblem is framed by a border of large waves representing the theme of the Three Graces or Charities. Aglaea, Euphrosyne and Thalia were daughters of Jupiter and were part of the entourage of Venus. They are usually represented as three young naked girls. They worshiped as dispensers of everything that makes human life pleasant. Without them there was no joy or beauty. Always, then, that a group of men gathered to celebrate any festivity, they were invoked and offered the first drink.
